BASKETBALL COACHING JOB
Shining Mountain Waldorf School in North Boulder is seeking to hire a Head High School Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.
Our coaching philosophy can be summed up as follows: "I spent way too much time on the X's and O's, and then I found out that kids don't care how much you know, they want to know how much you care."--Jerry Lynch, sports psychology consultant to Shining Mountain Waldorf School as well as over 24 national and international championship teams at the professional and collegiate levels.
Schedule: Flexible personal and professional schedule required for early afternoon to late evening practices and games four to five times per week from November 12th, 2010 through March 19th, 2011. Specific practice and game schedule available upon request.
Job Description: Shining Mountain is committed to the principles of Positive Coaching. We expect our coaches to be "Double-Goal Coaches" who want to win, but more importantly want to inspire a love of the sport, teach "life lessons", and encourage positive character traits through athletics. The following is what we expect from our coaches:
? Make the sport fun to play and practice.
? Model and teach the virtues of positive sportsmanship, self-respect and respecting others.
? Help redefine winning away from the scoreboard and towards effort, learning and improving, and being OK with taking risks and making mistakes.
? Offer unconditional positive reinforcement and support.
Coaching Qualifications:
? Playing and/or coaching experience.)
? Share our values of "Double-Goal Coaching".
? Strong desire to share your love Basketball with others.
? Strong desire to learn how to be an effective coach and gain valuable coaching experience.
Pay: $1,100.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE LOCAL REP
Face The World is currently seeking talented and self-motivated local Community Representatives. FTW is a cultural exchange program sponsor, and this is an opportunity to grow with our mission-driven high school exchange program.
As a Community Representative, you would work with international high school students living with American host families in your area. You must be 25 years of age or older to apply and be committed, energetic, flexible, and able to communicate and mediate between the student, host family, and our corporate office.
